A simple answer is that Petrified Anthem was a '70s rock band in the Philippines.

But to those who followed the local music scene, the early '70s was a vibrant, exciting time of change. Bands were becoming more than just providers of dance music for nightclubs and private parties, they were becoming recognized and appreciated for their individual styles, musicianship, and original compositions. Petrified Anthem came into being during that time and left behind a legacy of their own contributions to what became known as Pinoy Rock.

Their songs are still heard on Philippine radio and the band is often discussed in Pinoy Rock forums. This website has been created in response to the continuing interest in the band and their music.
